Senior in-house employment role | Purpose-led organisation | Broad workplace relations remitRole can be based Lismore, Coffs Harbour or Gold Coast,An excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join the in-house legal and workplace relations function of a highly regarded, purpose-driven organisation.This is a genuinely varied role offering the opportunity to act as a trusted legal adviser to senior People & Culture stakeholders and leaders across the organisation, with exposure to complex and interesting workplace matters.The roleYou will provide specialist legal and strategic advice across a broad range of employment and workplace relations issues, including:Complex employee relations matters, including misconduct, performance, redundancy and ill-health terminationEnterprise agreements, awards, employment contracts and workplace legislationLeading and overseeing workplace investigations, including sensitive and complex mattersMajor change and consultation processesEmployment disputes and industrial tribunal mattersIndustrial issues and workers' compensation mattersWorkplace policies,
frameworks and compliance initiativesDeveloping and delivering workplace relations trainingWorking closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers to manage legal and organisational riskAbout youYou will be an experienced employment lawyer with 5+ years' relevant experience, either in private practice or in-house, with strong technical expertise and the confidence to provide pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.You will ideally have:Strong employment and workplace relations experienceExcellent knowledge of enterprise agreements, awards and employment legislationExperience managing complex investigations and employee relations mattersStrong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to translate complex legal issues into explicit, practical adviceExcellent judgement and the ability to manage multiple complex mattersWhy consider it?
