What's the RoleThis role is ideal for a qualified Boilermaker/Welder looking for the opportunity to work in a heavy fabrication environment supporting mining equipment.You'll be responsible for the fabrication and refurbishment of components, including chutes and buckets, ensuring all work meets drawing specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.Reporting to the Leading Hand, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high‐quality fabrication outcomes while supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.Your ImpactMark out, prepare materials and weld prep to required tolerances and specifications Fabricate and weld components including chutes and buckets to engineering drawingsCarry out refurbishment and repair work on returned mining equipmentOperate fabrication equipment such as rollers, presses, and bevelling tools safely and efficientlyPerform welding, grinding, cutting, and drilling activities as requiredComplete production paperwork, time sheets, and technical documentation accuratelyParticipate in pre-starts and toolbox meetings, contributing positively to team outcomesPromote a strong safety culture and report hazards, incidents, and risks promptlySupport continuous improvement initiatives and efficient use of resourcesYou BringEssentialCertificate III in Engineering - Fabrication TradeProven experience as a Boilermaker/Welder in a heavy fabrication or industrial manufacturing environmentStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience with welding, grinding, cutting,



and fabrication processesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid‐paced environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementPreferredForklift LicenceDogman or Rigging ticketsWorking at Heights ticketExperience operating fabrication machinery (pressing, rolling, bevelling equipment)Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detailAt Bradken, you'll join a team that values skilled trades, high‐quality workmanship, and a strong safety culture.
