We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer , responsible for leading and managing Dynaciv's Health, Safety and Environmental functions across Queensland, predominantly within the rail and civil infrastructure sectors.
This role is hands‐on and site‐based, ensuring high standards of workplace Health, Safety, and environmental compliance while supporting safe delivery of works within live rail environments.About the RoleYou will Report to the Project Managers, while working closely with supervisors, and site personnel.
You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety systems across multiple construction activities, ensuring compliance with rail authority standards, WHS legislation, and project‐specific requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain WHS systems, SWMS, ITPs and project safety documentationConduct site inspections and auditsEnsure compliance with WHS Act & Regulations (QLD) and Rail Safety National Law.Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actionsLiaise with authorities, project teams and subcontractors on safety mattersMonitor high‐risk activities including working at heights, rail access,



traffic management and plant operationsAssist with inductions and permitsMaintain safety records, reports, and compliance documents.Promote and drive solid safety culture across all operationsAbout YouProven experience as a Safety Officer in civil construction, ideally rail or bridge worksMinimum 3-5 years of Safety Officer experience requiredStrong knowledge of WHS legislation and rail safety standardsExperience working in live rail environments is highly regardedAbility to read and interpret SWMS and management plansConfident communicator with a practical, solutions‐focused approachQualifications & RequirementsRIW Card (or ability to obtain)Construction White CardValid driver's licenceFirst Aid CertificateAustralian permanent residency or citizenship requiredWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on critical infrastructure projectsSupportive project and leadership teamCompetitive salary based on experienceLong‐term project opportunities for the right candidate
