BUMA Australia has been handling truck and excavator pre-strip operations here since ****, moving over 40 million BCM of material annually.Our fleet includes Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks, paired with Hitachi EX****, Caterpillar ****, and Hitachi EX**** excavators.About The RoleOur Blackwater team have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Mining Engineer to come and join the team on a full-time basis.This is a developmental role aimed at providing a recently graduated engineer the opportunity to develop their skills and abilities through the assignment of specific work tasks over a graduate development program.
At the completion of the graduate development program, the Graduate is expected to have demonstrated their abilities and developed sufficient skills to allow them to be employed elsewhere within the Company.Key Responsibilities IncludeDeveloping improvements to the survey,



mine planning and open cut mining processesProvision of mine plans and drawings to allow the workings to be planned to the contract specificationsPreparation and presentation of daily and weekly production reports and summariesPreparation of accurate records on the performance of the project and workingsDeveloping an understanding of all statutory requirements in the survey, planning and reporting of the projectDeveloping specific skills in the areas of mine planning and plant operationGaining familiarity with the preparation processes of budget, forecast, actual data and other project management documentation determined to be necessary by the Project ManagerProvision of monthly report and production statistics to enable accurate claims to be made with the clientPreparing periodical reports as required to review project performanceEnsuring compliance with HR policies, standards and procedures as per PMPIdentifying workplace issues and resolving them in a timely mannerFostering productive relationships both internally and with the ClientPresenting BUMA services, culture, and philosophy to the ClientActively contributing to team meetings providing thought leadership on technical mining issuesAbout You:Bachelor of Engineering or Degree/Diploma in Surveying, Mining Engineering or a relevant fieldHigh standard of written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skillsAdvanced level of computer literacy and the ability to analyse dataWorking At BUMABUMA Australia is a people focused business, with a strong emphasis on safety, training, development and continuous improvement.
