This role is for an experienced workshop operator who enjoys hands‐on machine work and has the drive for a leadership role within a rapid‐moving fabrication environment, with genuine room to grow into a senior or supervisory position.
You'll need to be comfortable running, programming and troubleshooting our machines, as machine operation will make up a significant portion of the role.Key responsibilitiesSet up, program and run all the CNC processes, including routers, metal laser cutters and non‐metal laser cuttersPrepare, load and align material, and check cutting quality as you goCarry out maintenance and safety checks on machines, flagging and resolving faults earlyOptimise tooling and machine settings for efficiency and finish qualityManage despatch and inwards goods, including packing, loading and transport prepManage material stock holding, including inventory checksConduct quality checks throughout the cutting and fabrication processLiaise with workshop and project teams to resolve issues and manage schedule changesTroubleshoot programming and machining issues as they ariseSupport and guide other operators and team membersAbout youAbility to interpret technical drawings and job‐related documentationForklift licence (essential)Previous CNC/machining experience preferredStrong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanshipSelf‐motivated,
