Job DescriptionFitzroy locationFriendly and supportive team environmentPermanent 32 hours/weekAbout the RoleThe Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will provide specialist clinical care, patient consultation, advanced nursing leadership, education and care coordination for patients managed by the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
The role provides continuity of care across emergency, inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring patients receive timely , coordinated and evidence-based care throughout their epilepsy journey.The CNC acts as a consistent point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, facilitates progression through complex care pathways including epilepsy surgery, supports multidisciplinary team (MDT) decision-making, and contributes to service development, quality improvement and staff education.Provide longitudinal care consultation and care coordination for patients with complex epilepsy across outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings.Act as a designated epilepsy resource for patients requiring non-urgent clinical advice using agreed service communication pathways.Coordinate patients progressing through the epilepsy surgery pathway s (including stereo-EEG), ensuring timely completion of required investigations and multidisciplinary review.Classifications for this position will be ZJ4 ($113,****** pro rata per annum)Your ContributionRegistered Nurse with current AHPRA registrationNational Police CheckPost Graduate Qualification in relevant disciplineDemonstrated experience in neuroscience or epilepsy nursing.What we OfferA focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programsConfidential, solutions-focused employee counsellingA healthy work/life balance encouragedAbility to join Fitness Passport - Your pass to an extensive choice of fitness facilitiesSalary Packaging - Increase your take home pay!
