We are looking for experienced transport and linehaul operators who understand how to maximise trailer space, safely load complex mixed freight and ensure the correct freight is allocated to the correct destination and truck.Location: Dandenong SouthHours: Approximately 9:00pm – 5:30amPay Rate: $***** per hourYou will be responsible for loading B-double and mezzanine trailers, with a strong focus on trailer utilisation, freight protection, accuracy and safety.About the RoleThe role will be split across two key areas during the shift:First part of the shift – Linehaul LoadingLoad B-double and mezzanine trailers efficiently and safely.Maximise available trailer space while maintaining safe and stable loads.Load complex mixed freight without creating a risk to freight or transport operations.Understand how freight needs to be positioned, stacked and secured within different trailer configurations.Ensure trailers leave site well utilised and appropriately loaded.Use RF scanners to scan and allocate freight accurately.Verify freight against destinations,



manifests and allocated loads.Identify and resolve loading issues before the trailer departs.Second part of the shift – Freight StagingStage freight for local delivery trucks to be loaded the following morning.Ensure freight is positioned in the correct areas and allocated to the correct truck/run.Maintain a high level of accuracy when sorting and staging freight.Work with the team to ensure the morning loading operation can commence efficiently.What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you must have previous transport/linehaul loading experience, particularly experience with:Loading B-double and mezzanine trailersMaximising trailer space and load utilisationLoading complex mixed freightFreight staging and sortationUsing RF scannersWorking with manifests, destinations and truck allocationsUnderstanding freight weight, size and placementWorking safely around heavy vehicles and loading operationsYou will also needExcellent attention to detailStrong understanding of freight movements and transport operationsThe ability to work quickly without compromising safety or freight integrityA robust safety mindsetGood communication skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamReliability and punctualityThe ability to work night shift consistentlyThe Right PersonYou will be someone who understands that getting a trailer full isn't enough — it needs to be loaded correctly, safely and efficiently.You will take pride in working out how to utilise available space, ensuring freight is protected and making sure the right freight gets onto the right truck and is correctly assigned.If you've worked in a transport depot, linehaul operation or similar environment and can confidently load B-doubles and mezzanine trailers, we'd like to hear from you.What We Offer$***** per hourApprox.
