Our ClientTroocoo is exclusively partnered with a well‐established distribution business, who is looking for an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to help set up and refine the running of a new facility.
This is a full time permanent role based in Brisbane's southern suburbs and is required on site 5 days a week.The PositionAs the direct manager of the facility under the direction of the National manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the facility with 60 + FTE's across multiple shifts.
You will also be expected to run continuous improvement projects and have excellent inventory management capability in ERP & WMS.Key Responsibilities Include:Lead the day to day running of the distribution facility with a team of 60+ staff.Develop and implement forward-thinking initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and improve processesLead problem solving and be on call for any safety or emergency issuesMonitor supplier performance and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.Enable recruitment of key recent staff whilst driving team culture and standards across the facilityDrive significant improvements to warehouse layout and inventory flow throughSkills & Experience5- 10 years' experience as a manager of a distribution centrePrevious experience setting up and implementing a new DC from Green FieldUnderstanding of ERP & WMS (Pronto or SAP is a plus)High level of written and verbal communication skillsFinancial acumen, cost control & labour planning expertiseExcellent attention including stock accuracy, cycle counts & stock stakesExperience managing a high number of SKUsPlease note that we are only accepting applications from candidates who are currently based in Australia and hold full working rights.
