This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing depot operations, managing people and resources, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services.About the RoleAs Depot Manager, you'll be the link between senior management and our operational teams, ensuring the depot operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while delivering exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OHS, legislative, and company requirementsLead, coach and develop depot staff to achieve high performance and service excellenceManage recruitment, training, workforce planning, review submitted payroll information and associated documentation, and employee developmentBuild and maintain strong customer relationships while coordinating and quoting upcoming worksSupport business growth through customer engagement, quotations, tenders, and new opportunitiesCoordinate resources, scheduling, vehicles, equipment, and staffing to meet operational demandsOversee the maintenance, compliance, and availability of depot vehicles, plant, and equipmentManage incidents, risks, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with customer contracts,



company policies, and industry standardsParticipate in an after-hours on-call roster to support customer and emergency response requirementsAbout YouYou are a proactive and organised leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys building strong teams and customer relationships.
You do not shy away from difficult conversations and are able to act as a point of escalation when issues arise with staff and clients.Proven experience leading a sizeable and diverse team (Traffic Management, Civil Construction, or a similar operational environment preferred)Current Victorian Driver LicenceCurrent Construction White Card, or willing to obtainVictorian Traffic Management tickets (Cat 2 desirable), or willing to obtainStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsSound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilitiesA customer-focused approach and a positive, can-do attitudeWhat's in it for You?
