We're a busy, big-hearted family looking for someone wonderful to help keep our household running smoothly and bring a little more calm to everyday family life.Life at our place is full — school pick-ups, afternoon tea chats, a diary that never sits still, and a mum juggling a busy work schedule that includes interstate and international travel.
We're looking for someone reliable, organised and caring who can confidently hold the home front together and become a trusted part of our family's routine.If you're the kind of person who gets satisfaction from a well-stocked fridge, an organised home, a folded basket of laundry and picking up a 9‐year‐old with afternoon tea already planned, this could be the role for you.What you'll be doing:School pick-ups & afternoons — collecting Miss 9 from school, managing the after‐school stretch and having afternoon tea sortedMeals & groceries — meal planning, grocery shopping and some light cooking (we have a team that cooks, so this isn't an everyday requirement)Home care — light cleaning, tidying and keeping shared spaces calm and organisedLaundry — washing, folding and ironing (the never‐ending kind, we know!)Diary support — helping keep the family calendar organised and on trackHomework help — providing some hands‐on support with schoolworkExtra hands when it counts — helping with birthdays, functions and occasionally attending a school parent/teacher interview when Mum is interstate or overseasWhat we're hoping you'll bring:Warmth,
patience and a genuine enjoyment of working with children and familiesStrong organisational skills and the ability to see what needs doing and get on with itReliability, initiative and good judgementA calm, practical and can‐do approach when life gets busyFlexibility around working hours, including some weekend availabilityAbility and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, from time to timePrevious experience in a family assistant, nanny, household support or similar role would be highly regardedBecause this is a trusted role working within our home and with our child, the successful applicant will need to have:A current Working with Children CheckA satisfactory National Police CheckA current unrestricted driver's licence and confidence driving as part of the roleThe right to work in AustraliaAbility to undertake some travel (domestic and international) when requiredSuitable references from previous employers or familiesThis is more than a traditional nanny or housekeeper role.
