We are a family-owned and operated business with over 45 years' experience in the heating and air conditioning industry.
Based in Pakenham, we supply and install heating and cooling systems throughout Melbourne, Gippsland and surrounding areas.
About the role
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Mechanical Plumber to join as a Leading Hand.
Working collaboratively with the Scheduler, you'll provide practical leadership and technical support to plumbers and apprentices while remaining actively involved in the trade.
Key responsibilities
Leading by example and supporting plumbers and apprenticesProviding technical guidance and assistance with more complex workWorking collaboratively with the Scheduler to keep jobs running smoothlyKeeping the Scheduler informed of job progress and any issues impacting scheduled worksHands-on installation of heating, air conditioning and hot water systems as requiredTroubleshooting faults and resolving technical issuesReading and interpreting plans, specifications and technical documentationEnsuring high standards of workmanship,



safety and complianceSupporting the ongoing development and skills of team members
About you
Proven hands-on residential mechanical plumbing experience
Leading Hand, senior tradesperson or similar experience
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical plumbing systems
Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
The ability to lead, support and mentor a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
A commitment to quality, safety and compliance
Qualified Mechanical Plumber with relevant Victorian registrations/licences
White Card
Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
Police Check, or willingness to obtain
Working Safely at Heights, or willingness to obtain
Current Australian Driver Licence
Fully maintained company vehicle
Mobile phone and laptop
Uniform
Stable, long-term employment with an established family-owned business
Varied, hands-on work with the prospect to lead and support a team
