Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, cutting-edge and caring.About the RoleThe Acute Care Service model of care provides:1.Mental Health assessments to people experiencing acute mental health problems ( including a rapid response when indicated) and determining an appropriate pathway to care (eg community treatment; assist consumers access and admission to inpatient treatment)2.Short term intensive treatment in the community often as an alternative to hospital3.In reach to hospital to promote effective follow up post mental health admission4.Gatekeeping- developing opportunities for assessment and community treatment at key points (eg; Assessment Unit and Admission Office)5.The model provides short term treatment after assessment up until the acute symptoms are resolved or the consumer is effectively transferred and engaged with an appropriate treatment provider.Ideal CandidateRecognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to profession.
Full registration and eligibility for membership to professional association, as appropriate.Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.Understanding of and commitment to recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service provision.Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
