You'll define technical roadmaps, assess solutions, and lead the evolution from as-is to to-be architecture states.Ensure alignment of new product development with both business and technical strategyLead the migration of on-premises systems to a cloud-first approachDevelop evolutionary architecture that can evolve to meet business needs in an agile environmentCommunicate architecture and plans to Directors, development teams, and business partnersProvide internal consulting expertise on aspects of architecture and technical strategyEnsure development and projects comply with agreed standards and patternsDocument, review and update architecture materialsAssess technical solutions and recommend the best course of actionBuild consensus and articulate strategy across various stakeholdersSupport APRA compliance and contribute to A&G;'s regulatory frameworkCollaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a strong risk and compliance cultureWhat experience you'll bringDemonstrated experience in software product development as an Architect on large complex systemsProven experience with containerised Java microservice and event-driven architecture patternsStrong knowledge of AWS features and how best to use them in designing solutionsExperience in migrating on-premises systems to cloud environmentsExperience in defining technical roadmaps and architecture to build and deliver new software productsAbility to distil complex business needs and technical change into clear directionExperience designing solutions that integrate multiple line of business applicationsExperience with digital application development for both online customers and internal business usersCloud-first thinking and evolutionary architecture development approachFirst-class interpersonal skills with ability to build consensus and articulate strategyInsurance or financial services knowledge desirableLocationToowong — Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern team-oriented areas to work and connect with colleagues.
