This is a full-time position with work based throughout Queensland, namely Brisbane - Gold Coast.
As a Qualified Painter & Decorator, you will be at the heart of our operations, delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our valued clients across residential and commercial projects.
This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and attention to detail, and you will play a crucial part in transforming spaces and exceeding client expectations.What you'll be doingPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming walls, ceilings, woodwork and other substrates to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish qualityApply paint, stain, varnish and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other professional tools with precision and careExecute decorative finishes including feature walls, texturing, faux finishes and specialty techniques as specified by clientsMeasure, cut and hang wallpaper, vinyl and other wall coverings with accuracy and craftsmanshipMaintain work areas and equipment in a clean, safe and organised manner, following all health and safety regulations and best practicesCommunicate effectively with clients, supervisors and team members to understand project requirements and ensure satisfactionConduct quality inspections of completed work and address any touch-ups or adjustments neededManage time efficiently to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional workmanship standardsWhat we're looking forCurrent painting and decorating qualification or trade certification, recognised within QueenslandProven experience working as a painter and decorator in residential and/or commercial settingsProficiency with a range of painting and decorating tools and equipment, including spray systems, brushes,



rollers and wallpapering toolsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality finishesAbility to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings and colour charts accuratelyKnowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application best practicesPhysical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various environmental conditionsExcellent customer service skills and professional communication abilitiesReliability, punctuality and a strong work ethicCurrent manual driving licence and reliable transportPreferred experience includes:Experience with commercial and industrial painting projectsKnowledge of health and safety compliance and safe work practices in the painting industryFamiliarity with project management and time schedulingWhat we offerPro Apply Painting & Decorating Pty Ltd is committed to supporting our team members with a competitive full-time employment package.
