The Mad Fish is seeking an Experienced Front of House Wait Staff member to join our dynamic hospitality team.
This is a casual position based in Yeerongpilly, QLD ****.
As a front-facing member of our team, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
This role is vital to maintaining the high standards The Mad Fish is known for and directly contributes to our reputation within the hospitality industry.Key responsibilitiesGreeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with restaurant proceduresPresenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about our food and beverage offeringsTaking accurate food and beverage orders and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staffServing food and drinks promptly, professionally and with attention to detail, following all health and safety protocolsMaintaining table settings and ensuring dining areas remain clean, tidy and welcoming throughout serviceResponding to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and efficient mannerProcessing payments and handling cash or card transactions accuratelyClearing and resetting tables between seatingsCollaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operationsAssisting with general restaurant duties including restocking supplies and setup as requiredWhat we're looking forProven experience working as wait staff in a hospitality workplace, preferably in a restaurant or café settingStrong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiencesAttention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneouslyKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and carry items safelyFlexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as requiredA positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a collaborative teamExperience with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageousRSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is preferredWhat we offerAs a casual team member, you will enjoy flexibility in your scheduling whilst being part of a vibrant hospitality team.
