Hillside Cataract and Eye Specialists – Castle Hill NSWWe are a new specialist medical practice looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join our team.This is an opportunity to be involved at an early stage to help build a practice that delivers excellent patient care and a positive experience for both patients and staff.You'll be working closely with two medical specialists and a small, friendly team.
We're looking for someone who is confident in managing the day-to-day administration of a specialist practice, enjoys working with patients, and can work independently.A part-time or full time permanent position is available.About the RoleThe role will include:Managing patient appointments and schedulingAnswering phones and responding to email enquiriesGreeting and assisting patients with warmth and professionalismOpening and closing the practiceBilling patients and processing paymentsProcessing Medicare and health fund claimsManaging referrals and correspondenceMaintaining accurate patient recordsLiaising with referrers and other healthcare providersGeneral administrative and reception dutiesSupporting the implementation and refinement of practice systems and workflowsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who has:Preferably,



at least 2 years' experience in a medical reception roleExperience working in an Australian medical practice, with an understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule and private health fund claimingStrong communication and organisational skillsExcellent attention to detailConfidence using practice management and electronic medical record systemsA professional, reliable and patient-focused approachThe ability to manage competing priorities and work efficientlyA willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a growing practiceCurrent working rights within AustraliaCurrent or willing to obtain: National Police Check, Working With Children CheckPrevious experience working in ophthalmology would be highly regarded but is not essential.What We OfferCompetitive salary based upon experienceNo weekend work (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm)Supportive and approachable team environmentParking onsite, 10 mins walk from Castle Hill metro stationOpportunity to be part of a new and growing practiceWork closely with two ophthalmologists in a small teamA workplace where your experience and input will be valued
