As a Catholic agency, we welcome everyone - regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender, or ability.Our work is guided by our core values:Dignity | Solidarity | Subsidiarity | Common GoodThese principles shape how we deliver programs and support those who need us most.What This Role InvolvesThis part-time role (23 hours per week) plays a key role in enhancing the profile, accessibility and cultural responsiveness of Family Relationship Centre services across the New England and Northwest region.As the Multicultural Liaison Officer, you will build strong relationships with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, local stakeholders and service providers to promote inclusive and culturally appropriate service delivery.You will also support staff capability by promoting culturally responsive practice and contributing to the development of service approaches that better meet the needs of diverse communities.How You'll Make an ImpactIn this role,



you will:Represent the Family Relationship Centre at interagency meetings, community events, and forumsBuild and strengthen relationships with CALD communities, Aboriginal communities, and local service providersPartner with internal teams and stakeholders to improve access and cultural responsivenessSupport the development and delivery of culturally appropriate programs and group sessionsMaintain accurate records, reports, and client documentationContribute to service promotion through the development of resources and materialsWork collaboratively across the Family Wellbeing & Justice portfolioWhat Makes You Stand Out (Essential Criteria)Demonstrated understanding of the challenges facing CALD individuals, families, migrants, and refugeesProven ability to build strong relationships and effectively engage with diverse communitiesExperience working within or alongside community services and support networksStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to maintain accurate records and meet organisational and legislative requirementsCurrent NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to other offices across the New England and North West.We are committed to the organisation's growth out team members' well-being.
