You are responsible for the completion of the warehouse's day to day tasks, including but not limited to picking and packing incoming and outgoing orders, stock checks and general housekeeping.1.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all people on site, adhere to the Company policies and comply with current legislation, in relation to Workplace Health and Safety and any other legislation that may cover activity performed at Capital LogisticsIdentify and report on any and all incidents, accidents or near misses to the Warehouse Supervisor immediatelyFoster and support a cooperative working environment through explicit, concise and effective communication with all stakeholders, including but not limited to sub-contractors, staff, visitors, customers and Management and all written and verbal communications is always professional and courteousFollow any and all direction provided to you by the Warehouse Supervisor and perform all reasonable tasks requested of you by the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Administrator and Warehouse Manager, and attend all meetings that are requested to attend Attend and participate in all one-on-one meetings with the Warehouse Supervisor Assist and complete to the best of your ability all required administrative tasks as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Administrator or Warehouse Manager Ensure that you utilise all work time for work associated tasks and limit personal activity and use of mobile phones whilst at work Cooperate with the Capital Transport Group in relation to activities undertaken to comply with WH&S; and National Heavy Vehicle legislationUndertake all relevant training to carry out your responsibilities in line with CTG's policies and procedures and legislative requirementsTickets/Clients requests are to be responded to in a timely manner as directed by the Warehouse and Distribution manager or in line with Capital Group ExpectationsPerform their roles effectively to manage Chain of Responsibility (COR) risks, and ensure their actions or inactions do not cause or contribute to road safety breaches, specifically with regards to:Load RestraintMass and DimensionFatigueSpeedVehicle StandardsEnsure that any potential or actual breaches of CTG policies and procedures are reported immediately to their Manager; Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and the health and safety of other people who may be affected by their conduct in the workplace; and Not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of environment health and safety or welfare.1.1 TASKSEnsure a safe working environment within the warehouses by:Performing daily checks of all Materials Handling Equipment MHE, utilising the company provided checklists.
You must escalation any defects to MHE to your manager without delay, ensuring that the equipment is not used by any persons if it is not fit for purpose;Ensuring the warehouse premises is maintained and tidy at all times by assessing the site on a daily basis to ensure there are no hazards and/or safety concerns.
When conducting these daily inspections, you must ensure the entire Warehouse premises, including the despatch area, are clean and tidy with no obstructions in the aisles (other than stock which is in the process of being put away on a daily basis) or exits.
Where you identify a risk, you must use your best endeavours to identify and implement suitable control measures prior to escalating the issue to your Manager;Ensuring all appropriate PPE is worn by employees, sub-contractors, labour hire personnel and visitors entering the despatch area;Ensuring the forklift operating area is kept clear and instructing all people to wait in the Driver Exclusion Zone whilst the forklift is operating; andEscalating all incidents and near misses to the relevant stakeholders including but not limited to your Manager and the National Work Health and Safety Manager as they occur and assisting with the investigation where required.Ensure that all goods unloaded from any vehicle or container, are done so in a safe manner and that the correct MHE is used in every instanceEnsure that all stock received is in good condition and report on any discrepancies to Warehouse SupervisorEnsure that all stock received in matches the corresponding inbound documentation with respect to quantity and stock codes, and report on any discrepancies to the Warehouse SupervisorEnsure that all the required documentation is approved accordingly, once the above checks have been completedEnsure all completed inbound documentation is forwarded to the Warehouse Supervisor by COB of the day the goods were physically receivedEnsure all customers orders are picked accurately as per the required stock codes, stock description and quantities, as per the information on the RF gun or customer order.
You must subsequently ensure that each order is audited prior to despatch for accuracy in quantity, dimensions and weight, and that there is no visible damage to any of the goodsAny damages to goods, either upon receipt or despatch, must be communicated to the Warehouse Supervisor immediatelyEnsure that the required MHE is used correctly and appropriately as per the requirements of each task undertakenEnsure that all MHE are charged overnight to ensure it is ready and fit for use the next working dayEnsure that you always have a valid licence to undertake all duties required via any MHEWhen unloading vehicles, ensure that all unloading activity is done in a safe operating manner and that the flow of vehicles through the warehouse operation is consistent and productiveEnsure that the Capital Logistics Traffic Management Plan is adhered to at all times and by all parties on site (pedestrians, drivers and other team members)Be proactive in identifying any risks or hazards associated with any equipment, premises or activity within the Capital Logistics operation and raise these with your Warehouse Supervisor as soon as is reasonably practicableUndertake all required housekeeping dutiesEnsure all the required PPE is worn at all times, and by all parties whilst on siteEnsure that any information entered into IC S (via RF gun or manually)



is accurate and all details are correctFollow any reasonable direction provided to you by the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager and Warehouse AdministratorMaintain the WMS at a minimum of 99% accuracyEnsure that the WMS is updated with accurate client pricing, amounts of product in/out and that all stock movements are audited against client requestsEnsure that all clients goods entering and being despatched from the warehouse have been entered into the WMS accurately, ensuring all associated weights, dimensions and stock characteristics are accurate, and that the corresponding paperwork has been signed and filedEnsure that all put away scanning it to the correct locationPick in accordance with the WMS and not based on physical availablityLiaise with Supervisor to solve any issues in relation to the WMSEnsure that all work is presented for checking by Supervisor or other staffConduct stock counts as requested from time to time2.
Work Health and Safety (WH&S;) ResponsibilitiesAll staff are responsible for the following safe work procedures and instructions:2.1 Employees mustCooperate with the Capital Group in relation to activities undertaken to comply with WH&S; and National Heavy Vehicle legislation;Undertake all relevant training to carry out your responsibilities in line with CG's policies and procedures and legislative requirements;Perform their roles effectively to manage Chain of Responsibility (COR) risks, and ensure their actions or inactions do not cause or contribute to road safety breaches, specifically with regards to:Load RestraintMass and DimensionFatigueSpeedVehicle StandardsEnsure that any potential or actual breaches of CG policies and procedures are reported immediately to their Manager;Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and the health and safety of other people who may be affected by their conduct in the workplace; andNot wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of environment health and safety or welfare.2.2 Supervisors are responsible forProviding adequate supervision through technical guidance, training and support to ensure employees carry out their responsibilities in line with CG's policies and procedures and legislative requirements;Maintaining regular communication with employees to identify if there are any issues that could result in a breach to CG policies and procedures and escalating to the Manager and relevant key stakeholders;Assisting with any efforts undertaken by the Capital Group to implement initiatives and corrective actions to comply with WH&S; and National Heavy Vehicle legislation;2.3 Managers and Section Heads are responsible forEnsuring information, training, instruction and supervision is provided to all employees at the point of induction, and cyclically thereafter, so that they can effectively perform their roles and responsibilities in accordance with CG policies and procedures, and legislative requirements;Maintaining regular communication with employees to identify if there are any issues that could result in a breach to CG policies and procedures;Monitoring internal and external processes to identify risks to the business and developing suitable control measures;Identifying and investigating any potential or actual breaches, notifying and consulting with the relevant key stakeholders, implementing corrective actions required for compliance without delay, and ensuring appropriate records are maintained.636
