An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Midwife to join our Infant Feeding Team on a secondment basis.
This role offers the chance to develop specialist skills while supporting our journey towards UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative re-accreditation.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across maternity and neonatal services to promote evidence-based infant feeding practices and deliver high-quality, compassionate care for families.
You will support education and training for staff, contribute to audit and quality improvement activities, and provide specialist clinical support for families with complex feeding needs.
We are seeking a midwife who is passionate about improving infant feeding outcomes and committed to delivering excellent care in line with NHS values.

The post holder will support the delivery of safe, high-quality and evidence-based infant feeding care in-line with NHS values and national guidance.
They will play a key role in achieving and maintaining a UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative re-accreditation, supporting education, audit and service improvement across the maternity service.
The role involves providing specialist clinical advice and hands‐on support to families with complex feeding needs, ensuring compassionate, person‐centred care.
The Post holder will contribute to policy development, data collection, and quality improvement projects and act as a role model and resource for colleagues, collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team will be essential to promote consistent, equitable and sustainable infant feeding standards across the service.
