Situated in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre stands as a premier outdoor venue.
Our facility features three heated pools-a 50m lap pool, a 20m Learner pool, and a Toddler pool-alongside expansive grassed areas, thrilling water slides, and a vibrant splash park.
The role
Randstad is currently seeking both experienced swimming instructors and enthusiastic newcomers for multiple positions throughout the pool season until April ****.
At Waterworld, our comprehensive Learn to Swim program offers lessons every day of the week, catering to children as young as 6 months old up to adults.
Whether you're seasoned in swim instruction or eager to begin your teaching journey, join us and experience the satisfaction of helping others develop their swimming skills and confidence in the water, all while earning a competitive wage.
Swimming Instructor duties include:
Instructing students in swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety
Improving the swimming skills of advanced swimmers
Assessing each swimmer's performance and offering constructive feedback
Guiding students' progress and adapting teaching programs to promote improvement




Embracing new concepts and aligning with Waterworld's lesson plans and teaching methods
Supervising students to prevent accidents and injuries
Availability on afternoons and weekends is essential
Working two shifts minimum per week
As a Swimming Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to teach this essential life skill to individuals of all ages.
Qualifications
Swimming Instructors are required to possess all the following certificates or be willing to obtain the following:
Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM, ASCTA or equivalent)
Provide CPR
Working with children check
Child Safe Environments Certificate
Are you an experienced teacher with a valid "Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion" and/or "Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics" certification?
