As our firm continues to grow, we're seeking anIntermediate or Senior Business Services Accountantto join our collaborative and high-performing team.
Whether you're looking to take the next step in your public practice career or are an experienced accountant seeking greater client exposure and progression, this is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working closely with Directors and clients.
About the Role
You will become a key member of our Business Services team, working across a broad range of accounting, taxation and advisory engagements.
Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance-related work
Assisting with tax planning and business advisory projects
Preparing management reports and financial analysis for clients
Liaising directly with clients and building trusted relationships
Supporting clients with cloud accounting solutions, including Xero and other accounting platforms
Researching technical tax and accounting matters
Assisting with ATO correspondence and compliance requirements
Managing workflow, deadlines and client deliverables
Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members (Senior level)
About You
Intermediate Accountant
2-4 years' experience within an Australian public practice or Business Services environment
Could still be an undergraduate with experience or a Graduate with experience and just commencing your CA/CPA
Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Eagerness to learn and develop your career
Senior Accountant
3-4 years' experience within an Australian chartered or accounting practice
CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
Strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
Experience managing client relationships and engagements
Ability to mentor and support junior team members
Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in business advisory services
