Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Suffolk
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways maintenance and infrastructure programme.
You'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring solid financial control and successful delivery across a busy portfolio of works.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre-contract activities including forecasting, measurement, subcontract tendering, and procurement
Manage project commercials: valuations, applications, cost control, and change management
Oversee subcontractor packages and support operational delivery teams
Prepare, submit, and agree Final Accounts
Produce accurate project forecasts and contribute to monthly reporting cycles
Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
Drive cashflow through effective valuation and invoicing processes




Support and mentor junior commercial staff and site teams
Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and internal procedures
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Proven experience operating at Senior QS level within construction or civil engineering
Strong background in highways or infrastructure projects
Solid working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts (Option A preferred)
Experience with Highways Method of Measurement / Schedule of Rates
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
Salary:
£450 – £500/day
