Starting base salary from $113,444per annum
5 weeks of leave every year (4 weeks annual leave & 1-weekspecial leave), plus 2 days volunteer leave

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the City'sworkplace health and safety function.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Human Resources and leading aWorkplace Health and Safety Advisor, you will drive the developmentand implementation of the City's WHS Strategic Plan, safetymanagement framework and risk management programs while providingexpert guidance to leaders across theCity.
You will play a key role in:
Building a strong and proactive safety culture
Leading WHS governance, compliance and assuranceactivities
Developing practical WHS strategies, plans andframeworks
Managing organisational WHS risks and criticalcontrols
Supporting managers and supervisors to meet their WHSobligations
Leading audits, investigations and continuous improvementinitiatives
Developing safety capability through education, trainingand awareness
Promoting psychological health and wellbeing in line withcontemporary WHS requirements
This is a role for someone who enjoys influencing change,partnering with leaders and creating meaningful improvements thatmake a difference to employees every day.
Who We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Extensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation,regulations and best practice
Experience developing and implementing WHS strategies,management systems and improvement programs
Demonstrated success in driving positive safety cultureinitiatives
Strong experience in WHS governance, compliance, injurymanagement and risk management
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagementskills
The ability to influence and support leaders at all levelsof the City
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate datainto insights and action
A proactive, solutions-focused and collaborativeapproach
Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety,Risk Management or a related discipline (or equivalentexperience)
Current National Police Clearance
