0TS365 – Principal Technology Consultant (TCP05) Principal Network Architect – Service Provider Technologies
Position Summary The Principal Technology Consultant (TCP05) is a senior technical leadership role responsible for providing consulting, architecture, and advisory services to customers and internal project teams.
Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, the role combines deep technical expertise, consulting capabilities, and business acumen to design, lead, and deliver complex technology solutions that support customer transformation initiatives and business outcomes.
This position will serve as a Principal Network Architect focused on Service Provider and Telco environments, providing expertise across Juniper networking technologies including Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT), ISP and IP Core architectures, subscriber management, routing and switching, network transformation, and next-generation service provider solutions.
The role will operate across both customer delivery and business development functions, working closely with customers, sales teams, account teams, delivery organizations, and executive stakeholders to shape opportunities, define solution strategies, and ensure successful customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Consulting Leadership
Act as the lead architecture authority for complex service provider network transformation programs.
Develop and lead detailed solution architectures aligned to customer business and technical requirements.
Provide strategic consulting and advisory services to customer executives, technical leaders, and program stakeholders.
Lead architecture governance, design reviews, risk mitigation activities, and technical decision-making processes.
Develop architecture specifications and technical designs aligned with customer objectives and operational requirements.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customer leadership teams on network modernization, operational transformation, and technology strategy.
Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and industry trends within telecommunications and service provider markets.
Service Provider Technology Expertise
Provide subject matter expertise and architecture leadership across Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) platforms and subscriber management architectures.
Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) solutions and large-scale IP address management.
Internet Service Provider (ISP) network architectures.
IP Core and Edge Routing solutions.
MPLS and Segment Routing technologies.
Juniper MX and ACX routing platforms.
Juniper Service Provider architectures and solutions.
Subscriber services and broadband access technologies.
IPv4 and IPv6 migration strategies.
Routing and switching technologies.
Network automation and orchestration initiatives.
High-availability and resiliency architectures.
Network transformation and modernization programs.
Delivery Leadership
Lead technical delivery across large-scale customer engagements and transformation programs.
Provide technical leadership for cross-functional project teams, including consultants, architects, engineers, project managers, and customer resources.
Own architecture outcomes and technical quality across assigned programs.
Drive successful delivery of project milestones while managing technical risks and dependencies.
Provide direction and guidance to implementation teams to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and contractual commitments.
Lead customer technical workshops, governance meetings, architecture reviews, and executive briefings.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and leadership.
Support achievement of utilisation, revenue,
customer success, and project delivery objectives.
Presales and Business Development
Partner with account teams to identify, qualify, and develop Professional Services opportunities.
Serve as the lead architecture resource for strategic customer pursuits and business development activities.
Develop solution strategies that align customer business outcomes with Professional Services offerings.
Lead architecture discovery workshops and customer advisory engagements.
Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) for complex consulting and implementation engagements.
Build and review Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to support project planning, delivery governance, and execution.
Perform effort estimation and cost modelling activities to support commercial proposals.
Support pricing development, scope definition, resource planning, risk identification, and statement of assumptions creation.
Contribute to proposal development, solution presentations, and customer executive discussions.
Drive services attachment and pipeline growth through architecture-led engagement.
Collaborate with sales, consulting, and delivery leadership to convert opportunities into revenue-producing engagements.
Support regional growth objectives through active participation in strategic account planning and opportunity reviews.
Customer and Executive Engagement
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customer executives, technical leadership teams, and key stakeholders.
Represent Professional Services and Architecture teams in strategic customer engagements.
Lead executive discussions around technology strategy, business outcomes, investment priorities, and transformation initiatives.
Act as an escalation point for complex technical and delivery challenges.
Promote long-term customer success through proactive engagement and value realization activities.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship
Provide mentorship and coaching to consultants, architects, and engineers across the organization.
Contribute to practice development, methodology improvement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives that improve delivery effectiveness and technical capabilities.
Support development of reusable assets, architecture frameworks, delivery methodologies, and best practices.
Represent the organization at customer events, industry conferences, and technical forums where appropriate.
Experience and Qualifications
12+ years of relevant industry experience within telecommunications, service providers, networking, consulting, or professional services environments.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale architecture and transformation programs.
Deep expertise in Juniper Service Provider technologies and architectures.
Experience working with Tier 1 telecommunications providers, ISPs, or large enterprise networking environments.
Strong experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs), cost models, implementation plans, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across complex customer engagements.
Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and customer leadership teams.
Strong consulting, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
Demonstrated success supporting business development, opportunity shaping, and revenue growth initiatives.

Strong expertise across Juniper Service Provider technologies including BNG, CGNAT, ISP, and IP Core architectures.
