We are partnering with a large, diversified organisation operating across multiple business lines, currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (Leases/Fixed Assets) to support a critical period across year‐end and audit. This is a hands‐on role with real ownership across asset accounting, lease accounting, and financial control, within a fast‐paced and evolving environment.

The Role
n
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial results, with a strong focus on assets, leases, and project accounting.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Lead and support month‐end and year‐end close
n
Ownership of fixed assets, capitalisation, disposals, and depreciation
n
Manage lease accounting (AASB 16 / IFRS 16) including ongoing adjustments
n




Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
n
Support audit deliverables (internal & external)
n
Partner with operational stakeholders to resolve accounting issues
n
Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members
n
Drive process improvements and efficiencies
n
n
About You
n
You are a technically strong accountant who thrives in a fast‐moving environment and is comfortable stepping up when needed.
n
Key Requirements
n
n
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent experience)
n
~5–7 years' experience in financial accounting with solid experience in:
n
n
Asset accounting
n
Lease accounting (AASB 16 / IFRS 16)
n
n
Experience in multi‐entity / complex organisations
n
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
n
Experience in asset‐heavy or infrastructure environments
n
Exposure to project accounting
n
