Shaping tomorrow's cities and communities begins with planning. We provide holistic strategic advice for the public and private sector to understand the full spectrum of planning.
n
Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights. As a Senior Consultant within our NSW Planning team, every day is different! You'll make an impact by:
n
n
Contributing to multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with our inhouse economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners and transport planners
n
Providing a range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management
n
Developing client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations
n
Writing submissions,
proposals and advice that accurately reflects the client's need
n
Managing small to medium size projects, including scoping and costing of projects, tracking job costs and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants as needed
n
Identifying and raise issues which may impact fee estimates or timelines.

Coaching and develop team members
n
Contributing to the development and implementation of quality assurance and support the Planning team's Business Plan
n

Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline
n
Ideally minimum 5 years' experience in Urban Planning
n
Ideally some experience in managing planning projects
n
Strong knowledge of statutory and strategic planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
n
Keen understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development
n
A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
n
