Database Administrator. Initial 10-month contract based in Perth CBD. MUST be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN. Strong experience in Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos, and Azure Data Fabric.

About the Role
n
We're seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support a state-of-the-art Data Lakehouse platform (DMP) built on Azure Data Fabric and Informatica. You'll be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimising Azure SQL and Cosmos databases, building and maintaining Informatica pipelines, and enabling new Data Analytics and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain Azure SQL and Cosmos databases.
n
Build and manage Informatica data pipelines between source systems and target databases.
n
Monitor, optimise, and secure database environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
n
Automate database management tasks using PowerShell or similar tools.
n
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to identify and map data to business requirements.
n




Ensure compliance with security policies and reduce vulnerabilities.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Proven experience in Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos, and Azure Data Fabric.
n
Solid skills in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).
n
Experience in data modelling, warehousing, and disaster recovery planning.
n
Ability to influence stakeholders and provide specialist advice.
n
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Azure Database Administrator Associate) and 5+ years' experience.
