Job Description
Randstad have partnered with The NSW Electoral Commission who are looking for Election Managers to deliver the **** NSW State election for 93 electoral districts across metropolitan, regional and remote areas across NSW.

Running and regulating elections;
n
Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; and
n
Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act **** and the Electoral Funding Act ****.

About the role
n
The Election Manager is responsible for the conduct of the election within a specific state electoral district.
n
The Election Manager manages a large-scale operation, within a short timeframe, delivering election specific activities within set legislated timeframes to meet the needs of stakeholders.
n
The role is a temporary full-time position from 11 January **** to 16 April ****. You will also be required to attend training in November/December ****.
n
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
n
n
Establishing and leading the Election Manager's office, including setting up processes and facilities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with work health and safety requirements.
n
Effectively manage your own workload and lead a team in a rapid-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment, adapting to changing priorities across the election lifecycle.
n
Recruit, lead and motivate a large temporary workforce across multiple locations to deliver consistent election services.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including candidates, scrutineers, media and the public, supporting the delivery of the election.
n
Oversee a broad range of operational and administrative functions, including the secure handling, distribution and collection of election materials, systems and resource allocation.
n
Ensure all election activities are delivered on time and in accordance with legislative requirements and NSW Electoral Commission policies.
n
Act with integrity, impartiality and transparency in the conduct of the election.

What we are looking for
n
n
Australian citizens who are enrolled to vote
n
Demonstrated operational management experience including delivering end-to-end processes within a short timeframe
n
Demonstrated management experience and the ability to lead a team in a customer-focused, high-pressure environment
n
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Excel) and an ability to use electronic devices
n
Political neutrality with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/third party campaigners
n
Satisfactory criminal record check
n
Current driver's licence
n
