We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to support Energy Business Unit.
n
The commissioning supervisor is responsible for executing and supervising day-to-day commissioning activities on a project. This role ensures that testing, energisation, and system integration activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures, under the direction of the Commissioning Manager.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
1.Field Execution of commissioning activitiesn
n
Supervise commissioning tests on:n
n
HV and MV equipment
n
LV systems and auxiliary supplies
n
BESS systems (battery racks, PCS, EMS)
n
n
Execute commissioning procedures, ITPs and test scripts
n
Coordinate daily commissioning activities across multiple workfronts
n
n
2.Supervision and Team coordinationn
n
Lead technicians, commissioning engineers, and subcontractors on site
n
Allocate tasks and ensure work is completed as per schedule and priorities
n
Act as primary point of contact for field-level execution issues
n
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure systems are ready for testing
n
n
3.Safety and HV Operationsn
n
Ensure all works are conducted in accordance with HV Safety rules and site procedures
n
Implement permit-to-work systems, isolations and LOTO
n
Support or Act as HV authorised person
n
Conduct pre-starts and risk assessments
n
Ensure compliance with relevant standards
n
n
4.Testing and Verificationn
n
Supervise
n
functional testing and pre-commissioning checks
n
Protection Relay secondary Injection
n
SCADA Point to point verification checks
n
Equipment inspections and energisation readiness checks
n
Verify systems are installed and configured according to design and specifications
n
n
5.Troubleshooting and Fault Findingn
n
Identify and resolve issues encountered during commissioning
n
Apply structured fault-finding techniques:n
n
use of multimeters, IR,
n
interpretation of drawings,
schematics and logic diagrams
n
step-by-step isolation and testing of problem areas.
n
n
Escalate complex issues to the commissioning Manager or OEM specialists with transparent diagnostic information
n
n
6.Documentation and Reportingn
n
Ensure field crew records test results, checksheets, and commissioning records
n
Update Punchlists, defect registers, and progress reports
n
Mark up drawings (red lines) to reflect as built conditions
n
Provide daily reports on progress, issues and risks
n
n
7.Support for Energisation and Grid Compliancen
n
Assist with energisation activities:n
n
Pre-Energisation Checks
n
n
Support grid compliance and testing activities
n
n
n
About You
n
n
5+ years' experience in commissioning and testing of electrical systems
n
Tertiary qualification in civil / electrical engineering or similar.
n
Protection & control systems
n
Renewable energy projects (Solar and/or BESS highly regarded)
n
Experience with HV, MV & LV systems
n
Knowledge of Australian standards, regulatory requirements, and testing procedures
n
Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering to project budgets
n
3-5 years' experience with either an EPC Contractor, NER or NSPs.
n
An Australian recognized engineering degree
n
Proven leadership and presentation skill
n
Work well under pressure
n
Collaboration skill in multi-disciplinary organisation
n
Ability to travel and work away from home as required
n
