The Role
n
We are currently seeking an Experienced / Senior Structural Engineer to join our buildings and structures team in Brisbane. Working with a specialist team of Engineers, Drafters and Project Managers, you will be responsible for technical design input, co-ordination and project delivery activities across buildings projects locally and nationally.
n
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
n
Coordinating the structural design and documentation for various projects locally and nationally
n
Undertaking structural design components using relative software, including Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7
n
Reviewing structural designs,



ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and Robert Bird Group
n
Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals
n
Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
n
Actively contribute to the technical success of projects and the team
n
Client liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projects
n
About You
n
Relevant Engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering
n
5+ years' industry experience working within an engineering design consultancy
n
Solid grounding in steel and concrete design
n
CPEng or actively working towards chartership
n
Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software
n
Possesses project management and hands‐on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects
n
Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards
n
Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment
n
