Our client is a well-established structural steel fabrication business with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across government, defence, industrial and agricultural sectors. With a healthy pipeline of work and continued investment in their estimating function, they're looking for a Senior Estimator to join the team following the planned retirement of a long-standing employee.

The Role Working alongside an experienced team, you'll be responsible for pricing structural steel projects from tender through to submission, while supporting the ongoing development of the estimating function.

Your day-to-day will include:
n
n
Reviewing tender documentation and project specifications.
n
Completing material take-offs and preparing accurate cost estimates.
n
Pricing structural steel fabrication and installation projects.
n
Working closely with internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
n
Assisting with tender submissions and project handovers.
n




Supporting the implementation and ongoing use of PowerFab and other estimating systems.
n

About You
n
We're looking for someone who has experience estimating structural steel projects and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where continuous improvement is encouraged.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Experience estimating within the structural steel industry.
n
Solid knowledge of fabrication and construction processes.
n
Experience with Tekla, PowerFab or similar steel software (highly regarded).
n
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
n
A proactive attitude and the ability to work within established systems while contributing new ideas.
n
