As Finance Manager – Group Finance you'll be a senior member of the Group Finance team you will be responsible for providing robust leadership to the Support Services Division as well as the broader Mercy Health.
You will play a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting decision-making across a diverse range of business units.
This pivotal role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality financial leadership and strategic support.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated finance team in delivering timely, accurate, and high-level financial and accounting services.
Your work will directly support the achievement of key business objectives, ensuring that financial strategies align with the organisation's values and long-term goals.
This is more than a finance role – it is a leadership position that requires vision, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, contributing to both operational performance and strategic planning.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Business or Finance or equivalent (Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant qualifications would be desirable and together with evidenced ability and technical understanding of accounting practices and procedures).
Not less than 5 years' experience in a senior management role with a proven ability to develop and meet operational and budgetary objectives demonstrating strong written and verbal communication, an ability to engage with executives, management and staff through consultation processes and demonstrated skills and sound judgment.
Demonstrates strong acumen in lease accounting, with a deep understanding of Australian accounting standards, technical requirements, and practical business implications.
Demonstrates strong project accounting capabilities and a thorough understanding of capital expenditure, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with accounting standards.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and data analytics.
Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
The ability to nurture friendly,



respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check
