Artisan Assistant (Electrical)
Location: Eersteriver, Western Cape, South Africa
Afrimat CM Western Cape, based at Peak Quarry (Eersteriver)
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Minimum Grade 12
Valid unendorsed RSA driver's license
Public road driving experience
Be literate and functionally numerate
Computer literate: Microsoft excel, word, outlook
Knowledge of tools
Must be declared medically fit to work in this position
Duties And Responsibilities
Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety and environmental standards and rules
Assist Artisans during routine maintenance, services and breakdowns
Ensure the correct tools, hardware, and safety gear are readily available and in good working condition before a task begins.
Ensure materials required for a job are loaded and unloaded at the job site
Transport/carry, clean and safeguard tools before and after tasks




Assist to control workshop inventory
Store equipment securely after use
Clean and service tools, reporting any broken or missing equipment to the Artisan/Supervisor
Must be able to function independently, as well as in a team workplace
Be able to work under pressure
Be willing to assist in the Workshop with any other adhoc duties when authorised to do so
Ensure excellent and consistent housekeeping standards are met
Be willing to follow any other ad hoc instructions as given by Management
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
