Opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join an ASX-listed leader in financial services, supporting growth across the Australia, UK and NZ business. The Role:
n
Reporting to the General Counsel, this is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with the business, providing pragmatic legal advice across a breadth of legal issues including commercial contracts and financial services regulatory requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts.
n
Work with the bid and new business teams on tenders and negotiation of contracts.
n
Support contract lifecycle management and advise on disputes when they arise.
n
Assist the General Counsel on governance, compliance and risk-related responsibilities, including policy development and regulatory obligations under the Corporations Act, FSR and privacy regimes.
n
Ensure legal/security documentation is properly executed and compliant.
n
n
Experience and Skills Required:
n
n
3–6 years PQE with relevant legal experience in private practice and/or in-house.
n
Drafting,



reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
n
Experience with FSR and privacy legislation beneficial.
n
Ability to provide independent, commercially relevant legal advice.
n
Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
n
n
