UCT is looking for a talented NPI Engineer to join us in Tainan!
n
Job Summary:
n
The NPI engineer will be responsible for
managing/overseeing
ongoing NPx activities, working with R&D; & Sales team, leading Key process developments, qualifications, semiconductor processes, parts cleaning, new equipment and coatings. Leads development and implementation of
resolutions/solutions
to key customer concerns to maintain and increase business.
n
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
Leader in strategic process development and qualification across multiple sites for new capabilities and yield improvement for UCT and its customers.
n
Supporting the conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operations across multiple sites for UCT's strategic problems.
n
Applying the principles of mass, momentum, and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme, and detailed design
n
Defines process requirements for NPI and current line startups including equipment needs and necessary supporting systems for customer success.
n
Serves as technical lead for global peers by giving technical guidance and resources for strategic and complex technical problems.
n
Works closely with Sales to interface with the customer in support of new and existing business activities by developing customer ready technical roadmaps and leading projects to complete them.
n
Designing, installing and commissioning new production units, monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes.
n
Managing the cost and time constraints of projects and tasks.
n
Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations.
n
Advises Operations Site managers and Sales to deploy Engineering solutions including technical problem solving, work instruction issues, and other Engineering activities as needed.

Participates in projects as assigned to improve systems, operations & cross-functional collaboration.
n
Assessing processes for their relevance and assessing the adequacy of engineering equipment.
n
Drives process control systems (PCS) and SPC matching efforts for key customers and helping to identify and eliminate gaps between sites.
n
n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
n
Superior leadership and interpersonal communication skills; familiarity with wet chemistry processing, semiconductor tool consumables,
semiconductor technology, critical cleaning technology, semiconductor processing, coating technologies, and CAD implementation.
n
High level troubleshooting skills coupled with hands‐on approach to solving problems. Familiarity with "Six Sigma", "Lean Manufacturing" concepts and other process improvement methods and approaches. Effective verbal & written communication skills as well as satisfactory interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization. Comfortable to discuss and present technical data to executive team and customers.
n
Able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Demonstrable understanding of production, engineering & quality initiatives and with safety & quality practices. Proficiency in the use Excel, PowerPoint and other systems/software to perform job duties satisfactorily.
n
Able to complete assignments in a timely manner while adhering to deadlines and with sense of urgency.

Educational/Certification
Requirement:
n
n
Minimum bachelor's degree in chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Physics or relevant semiconductor related degree.
n
Master's or higher degree, or equivalent post‐graduate education in above subjects preferred.
n
A combination of demonstrated skills and experience may be considered in lieu of A higher degree.
n
n
Work Experience Requirements:
n
n
6+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
