Your new company A well-established South Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Dynamics AX **** Functional Specialist to support a short-term ERP improvement initiative. Working closely with key business stakeholders and technical consultants, you will play a critical role in identifying business needs, translating requirements, and driving system enhancements within the Dynamics AX **** environment.

Your new role As the Dynamics AX **** Functional Specialist, you will act as the bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are effectively captured, documented, and translated into practical solutions. This is a functional, stakeholder-facing position rather than a hands-on development role.

Key responsibilities include:

Engage with stakeholders to identify business challenges, requirements, and improvement opportunities.
n
Gather, analyse, and document functional requirements and business processes.
n
Translate operational issues and business needs into actionable system enhancements.
n
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external technical consultants implementing changes.
n
Provide functional guidance across Dynamics AX **** modules, workflows, and system capabilities.
n
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and requirement-gathering sessions.
n
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation, and change management activities.
n




Review configurations and ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives.
n
Maintain clear documentation of requirements, processes, and system improvements.
n

What you'll need to succeed
n
n
Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX **** in a Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Application Support capacity.
n
Strong understanding of Dynamics AX **** processes, workflows, and configuration.
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and documenting business processes.
n
Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical functional solutions.
n
Experience liaising with developers, vendors, and technical consultants to deliver system improvements.
n
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management capabilities.
n
Ability to quickly understand business operations and deliver outcomes within a fast-paced engagement.
n
