Hays is partnering with a well-established mining operation to appoint a Senior Human Resources Advisor. The organisation is seeking experienced professionals who bring credibility, sound judgement and a practical approach to employee and industrial relations.

Your New Role
n
You will provide HR advisory support across multiple operational sites and partner closely with leaders on a broad range of workforce matters.
n

Providing HR advisory support to operational leaders
n
Managing complex employee relations matters including
n
Providing practical industrial relations and employee relations guidance
n
Building solid relationships with leaders and employees to establish trust and credibility
n
Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and internal policies and procedures
n
Supporting workforce planning and organisational initiatives
n
Assisting with performance and development processes
n
Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Supporting HR governance, systems and reporting requirements
n
Working across HR systems, processes and transactional HR activities
n




Supporting the ongoing improvement of HR systems, including ELMO
n
n
What You'll Need to Succeed
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
n
Approximately 5+ years' experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role
n
Strong ER and IR generalist experience
n
Experience coaching, influencing and partnering with operational leaders
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
n
Strong HR systems capability, including HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
n
Previous experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing or remote-site environments
n
An understanding of FIFO operations and the lifestyle requirements associated with remote workforces
n
