Senior Credit Manager – Sydney office. The role will be critical in driving timely and disciplined credit decisions and acting as a key senior interface between Mortgage Managers and Pallas Group stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and approve residential and commercial real estate lending opportunities in line with Funding Partner risk appetite
n
Provide front‐end credit input to origination teams, including deal structuring, risk assessment and suitability prior to terms being issued
n
Lead credit due diligence across transactions, including review of valuations, development feasibilities, cash flows and borrower financials
n
Prepare and review detailed credit papers for Investment Committee and lending approval
n
Act as a primary Delegated Lending Authority
n
Balance risk and return outcomes in line with investor expectations, funding source parameters and internal credit policy
n
Partner with Legal on loan documentation, negotiations, credit conditions and waivers
n
Support effective portfolio management, including covenant compliance, arrears oversight and investor reporting
n




Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting standards, tools, templates and processes
n
Mentor and support credit team members within a high‐performing, collaborative environment
n

About You
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Property Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
n
10+ years' experience in private credit, real estate finance, investment banking or property development
n
5-7 years' experience as a primary credit approver, holding Delegated Lending Authority of $5-10 million for a minimum of 12 months
n
Proven experience within a non‐bank lending or funds management environment
n
Strong financial analysis capability, including review of development feasibilities and valuation reports
n
Sound commercial judgement with a robust investor‐outcomes focus
n
Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
n
Agile, deal‐focused mindset with a commitment to continuously improving credit and underwriting standards
