Hoffmann Reed has been exclusively engaged by a leading public health service provider in Queensland, to appoint their next Director of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. This pivotal leadership role will provide strategic, clinical, and operational oversight across maternity and gynaecology services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care aligned with community needs and health service priorities.

Providing strategic and clinical leadership across obstetrics and gynaecology services, ensuring alignment with organisational values and strategic objectives.
n
Leading workforce development, fostering a culture of excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement.
n
Overseeing clinical governance frameworks that ensure safety, quality, and responsiveness to patient needs.
n
Delivering clinical services, including participation in after‐hours and weekend on‐call rosters
n
Driving education,
training, and research initiatives to strengthen professional practice and patient outcomes.
n
Championing innovation in service delivery, including outreach and specialist clinics for diverse community needs.

About you
n
We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader with:
n
n
Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or equivalent), and eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
n
Demonstrated senior leadership experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a track record in strategic planning, clinical governance, and workforce development.
n
Strong commitment to patient safety, service quality, and evidence‐based care.
n
High‐level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and resolve complex issues.
n
Proven capability to lead research, evaluation, and service innovation initiatives.
n
Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and culturally responsive care.
