n Salary: $105,736 - $110,518 plus superannuation

About the Chance
n
Cafs is seeking an experienced and passionate practitioner to join our newly expanded Strengthening Connections program.
n
This newly funded position provides an exciting opportunity to work with children, young people and families impacted by family violence, trauma and relationship challenges. Using a trauma-informed, whole-of-family approach, you will support children and young people to build emotional regulation, strengthen relationships and increase safety within the home.

About the Program
n
Strengthening Connections supports young people aged 12 to 17 who use violence in the home and their families.
n
Primary Connections is an early intervention program supporting children aged 8 to 11 and their families where children have experienced family violence and/or are displaying dysregulated behaviours.
n
Grounded in TBRI principles, both programs focus on safety, connection, healing and building stronger family relationships.
n
About the Role
n
As the Strengthening and Primary Connections Practitioner, you will:
n
n
Deliver trauma-responsive therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families.
n
Complete intake, assessment, risk assessment and safety planning.
n
Provide therapeutic case management and family-based interventions.
n
Facilitate structured group programs and caregiver education.
n
Work collaboratively with schools, partner agencies and community services.
n
Support emotional regulation, family functioning and positive behaviour change.
n
Maintain high-quality documentation,
reporting and program data.
n
Contribute to ongoing program development and continuous improvement.
n

About You
n
You will bring:
n
n
A Bachelor qualification in Social Work or a related discipline.
n
Minimum three years' experience in the family services and/or family violence sector.
n
Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice, child development and family violence frameworks.
n
Experience undertaking risk assessment and safety planning.
n
Confidence working collaboratively with families experiencing complexity and adversity.
n
Excellent communication, relationship-building and case management skills.
n
A commitment to child safety, inclusion and diversity.
