PGP are now embarking on the next phase of their growth, and as part of that evolution, are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded General Manager to work alongside the Partner group to take responsibility for the leadership, operational performance and ongoing growth of the business.

This is a newly created, and highly visible, leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of the firm.
n
The Chance
n
Reporting directly to the Partners, you will become the operational leader of the practice, ensuring the business runs efficiently, profitably and strategically.
n
You will oversee the firm's Accounting, SMSF and Wealth divisions, bringing together people, processes, systems and commercial performance to create a best-in-class professional services environment.
n
Most importantly, you will help transition the Partners away from day-to-day operational management, allowing them to focus on clients, business development and growth initiatives.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
You will:
n
n
Lead the day-to-day operational performance of the firm
n
Drive business efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Manage financial performance, profitability, budgeting and reporting
n
Provide leadership, coaching and accountability across managers and team leaders
n
Champion a high-performance culture aligned with the firm's values
n
Oversee resource planning, workflow management and service delivery
n
Implement strategic initiatives and monitor progress against business objectives
n
Enhance systems, automation and technology adoption across the business
n
Support governance, compliance and risk management obligations
n
Foster collaboration and cross-referral opportunities between Accounting and Wealth divisions
n
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the firm's leadership team.
n

About You
n
Ideally you will be an accomplished leader who can combine strong commercial judgment with exceptional people leadership capability.
n
You may currently be:
n
n
A General Manager or Practice Manager within a professional services firm
n
A COO or Operations Director seeking broader responsibility
n
A senior leader from accounting, financial advice, consulting, legal or related advisory environments
n




A commercially minded executive who enjoys building scalable, high-performing businesses
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Proven experience in a senior leadership or operational management role
n
Strong financial and commercial acumen
n
Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving organisational performance
n
An ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships
n
Strong strategic thinking coupled with a hands-on execution mindset
n
Experience driving operational excellence, process improvement and business transformation
n
A collaborative leadership style that motivates and empowers others
n
Exposure to accounting, wealth management or a broader professional services environments will be highly regarded.
