n We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Coal Mining to provide operational leadership across our open cut mining activities. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving safe production outcomes, developing frontline leaders, and ensuring the mine plan is executed efficiently while fostering a strong safety and performance culture.

About the Role (Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will):

Lead and mentor a team of Mining Supervisors and operational personnel to achieve secure and productive outcomes.
n
Drive compliance with all safety, statutory and environmental obligations.
n
Deliver production targets while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
n
Coordinate mining activities in collaboration with Technical Services, Maintenance and other site departments.
n
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce operational risk.
n
Develop workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
n




Monitor operational performance and use data to make informed decisions that improve outcomes.

Extensive experience in open cut coal mining operations.

Demonstrated success in leading large operational teams within a mining environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.

Excellent understanding of mine planning, production processes and operational execution.

Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic production environment.
n
Sound knowledge of Queensland mining legislation and safety management systems.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the business.
