Role Overview
n
We are seeking a Twilio Segment Customer Data Platform (CDP) Lead / Architect to design and deliver enterprise‐scale CDP implementations using Twilio Segment. This role will drive end‐to‐end customer data enablement across ingestion, identity resolution, governance, and real‐time activation.
n
The role spans Segment, AWS (S3/Redshift), and downstream marketing and decisioning platforms, enabling a unified and scalable customer data ecosystem for large, complex organisations.

Key Responsibilities
n
Segment CDP Implementation & Configuration
n
n
Configure and manage Segment workspaces, sources, destinations, and identity (Unify) setup across environments
n
Enable data ingestion via SDKs, APIs, and third‐party integrations
n
Implement tracking plans, Protocols, and schema validation for data governance
n
Build custom integrations using Segment Functions and APIs
n
n
Identity Resolution & Profile Management
n
n
Design and implement customer identity graphs across digital and offline channels
n
Enable real‐time identity stitching using identify() and alias() models
n
Manage unified customer and prospect profiles for activation and analytics
n
n
Cloud Data Platform Integration (AWS)
n
n
Architect data flows between Segment and cloud platforms (S3, Redshift)
n
Implement structured and raw data pipelines, schema design, and lifecycle policies
n
Enable Reverse ETL pipelines for downstream activation and enrichment
n
n
Data Activation & Integration
n
n
Enable real‐time integrations with marketing and decisioning systems
n
Support event‐driven architectures for personalisation and campaign activation
n
Implement low‐latency pipelines for real‐time use cases
n
n
Data Governance, Privacy & Compliance
n
n
Implement PII detection, masking, and enforcement mechanisms
n
Configure consent management and data privacy workflows
n
Ensure compliance with global and local data protection regulations
n
n
Enterprise Integration
n
n
Integrate Segment with identity, observability, and ITSM systems
n
Enable multi‐channel data ingestion across web, mobile, CRM, and contact centre systems
n
n
DevOps & Operations
n
n
Implement CI/CD and Infrastructure‐as‐Code for Segment configurations
n
Enable monitoring, alerting, and observability for data pipelines
n
Establish operational support models and governance frameworks
n
n
Required Skills & Experience
n
n
5–10 years of experience in CDP, Data Engineering, or MarTech platforms
n
Hands‐on experience with Twilio Segment or similar CDP tools
n
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS – S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda)
n
Experience with APIs, event streaming (Kafka), and integration patterns
n
Knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, and Reverse ETL patterns
n
Experience in implementing data governance and privacy controls
n
n
Nice to Have
n
n
Experience with marketing automation or decisioning platforms
n
Exposure to identity platforms (CIAM) and customer analytics tools
n
Background in telecom, financial services, or regulated industries
n
Familiarity with Infrastructure‐as‐Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
n
