Key Responsibilities
n
n
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you'll take end-to-end ownership of a medium sized payroll team for approximately 4,000 employees while driving process improvement, automation,
and modernisation across the function.
n
Deliver accurate, on-time fortnightly and monthly payroll across a large, multi-entity operation
n
Keep everything airtight — Awards, leave, super, tax, terminations and statutory compliance, covered
n
Lead, coach and build a team that performs and grows under your leadership
n
Champion automation and AI-enabled tools to drag payroll processes into the future
n
Run audits, reconciliations and control reviews that keep risk firmly in check
n
Work hand-in-glove with HR and operational leaders to level up the employee experience
n
Spearhead transformation projects that ripple out across the wider business
n

About You
n
n
5+ years of Australian payroll leadership experience from a large and complex big business environment
n
Proven leadership of high-volume payroll teams, including senior payroll staff
n
Deep expertise in payroll legislation, compliance, governance and risk management
n
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge the status quo
n
Demonstrated success leading payroll projects and transformation initiatives
n
Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and prioritisation skills
n
A stable career history with consistent tenure in payroll leadership roles
