Responsibilities
n
n
Run complex commercial litigation from initial advice to resolution, including strategy, pleadings, and advocacy.
n
Act for clients in contractual, corporate, insolvency, and regulatory disputes.
n
Represent clients in contested applications, mediations, and hearings in State and Federal Courts.
n
Draft high-quality pleadings, affidavits, and settlement documentation.
n
Provide commercially focused legal advice on dispute strategy and risk.
n
Mentor junior lawyers, review work, and support technical development.
n




Support business development through client relationship management and thought leadership.
n

Requirements
n
n
Law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate.
n
5–10 years' PQE in commercial litigation, ideally with exposure to insolvency or regulatory disputes.
n
Strong technical ability and confident file leadership across varied litigation matters.
n
Excellent drafting and oral advocacy skills.
n
Ability to provide strategic, client-focused advice with commercial insight.
n
Demonstrated leadership capability and commitment to mentoring.
n
Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing litigation demands.
n
n
