Role: Consultant Physician

Location: Whyalla Hospital, SA
n
Shift Type: 24-Hour On-Call
n
Hours: 08:*******:00 (Ward Rounds followed by On-Call)
n
Rate: $2,500 per 24-hour shift
n
Pro-rata rates apply where a full 24-hour shift is not worked.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage acutely unwell patients independently across the ED, wards, and HDU.
n
Provide care for patients requiring non-invasive ventilation and ventilated patients awaiting transfer to tertiary ICU facilities.
n
Lead Code Blue responses.
n
Participate in ward rounds and on-call responsibilities.
n
n
Requirements
n
Applicants must have:
n
n
FRACP
n
Experience managing HDU patients, including non-invasive ventilation and
intubated/ventilated
patients
n
Current ALS/ALS2 Certificate
n
COVID-19 Vaccinations and Booster
n




Evidence of immunisation status (MMR, Hepatitis B, Polio, Influenza, dTp)
n
SA Working With Children Check
n
A current CV
n
Two recent clinical references
n
n

Payment Information
n
Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation.
n
n
A 12.5% superannuation deduction will apply where the locum's ABN is registered as a Sole Trader/Individual.
n
No superannuation deduction applies where payment is made to a Company or Trust.
n
Locums not registered for GST must submit their own invoices.
n
n
Eligibility Requirements

Full working rights in Australia
n
Current AHPRA registration
n
Relevant Consultant Physician experience
n
