About the Role
n
As a key leader within the School, the Head of Secondary Years (7-12) will be integral in supporting and inspiring colleagues and engaging with parents and the wider community to actively promote a culture of care and excellence. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Secondary Years will provide strategic educational leadership, nurture a robust pastoral culture and commitment to wellbeing through the development of programs and community events, and manage secondary school operations in alignment with our strategic plan, vision and mission.

This is a full-time position commencing in **** or sooner by negotiation.

You will:

Have a strong understanding of Christian education.
n
Understand the importance of positive relationships and culture in a Christian school setting.
n
Be highly professional with excellent interpersonal skills.
n
Be an experienced and dedicated leader who is committed to your own personal and professional development.
n
Have a vision for excellence in all that you do that inspires staff, students and families.
n
Ideally have experience in leading school operations and the development of systems
n
Have an eye for detail and a high-standards approach to your work and in the support of your team
n
Be willing to work in a collaborative and supportive whole-school leadership team for continuous improvement and innovation.
n

Qualifications
n
Post-graduate qualifications in Education or Educational Leadership (or similar) will be highly regarded.
n
Successful Candidates
n
Along with NESA accreditation and a current paid Working with Children Check, the Head of Secondary Years:
n

Is a committed Christian who will provide opportunities for students to develop an understanding of the Christian faith and encourage their spiritual formation.
n
Has proven success in the leadership of school improvement initiatives.
n
Prioritises both the school's learning culture and wellbeing of students, supported by our Great Learning, Well People Framework that promotes excellence in both academics and pastoral care.

Applies strategies to ensure high student engagement with school life, including growing the co-curricular opportunities for students.
n
Is committed to building strong partnerships within the school and with the wider community.

Contributes to a collaborative school leadership team and the school's strategic goals.
