An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading global defence organisation supporting a significant land systems program.
n
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex capability projects from concept through to production and integration.
n

Your new role
n
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering activities across a complex defence program.
n
You will work closely with design, systems, manufacturing and project management teams to ensure technical outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.
n
A key part of this role will involve the development and management of engineering designs and documentation using Creo or CAD and associated product lifecycle management tools.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
n
Support project planning, scheduling and technical risk management.
n
Develop and review mechanical designs, assemblies and engineering documentation.
n
Create and maintain 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Creo or CAD.
n




Manage engineering change processes and design modifications.
n
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
n
Support design reviews, verification and validation activities.
n
Ensure compliance with defence, quality and engineering standards.
n
Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to support successful delivery outcomes.
n

What you'll need to succeed
n
n
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Demonstrated experience working as a Project Engineer within defence, aerospace, heavy vehicle, manufacturing or other complex engineering environments.
n
Solid mechanical design experience.
n
Strong experience using PTC Creo or CAD for 3D modelling and design activities.
n
Experience producing and managing engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
n
Exposure to PLM systems such as Windchill would be highly regarded.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage competing priorities.
n
