A leading national insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Account Manager to step into a strategic leadership-focused role in its Brisbane office. In this role, you'll oversee a portfolio of high-value clients while mentoring a team of 6 professionals across varying levels of experience. This opportunity is ideal for a senior insurance professional ready to progress into a leadership position or build further on their current people management experience. What You'll Be Doingn
n
Manage a key portfolio of mid-market commercial client
n
Build strong, enduring relationships with clients in the $******M turnover range
n
Provide strategic broking advice and deliver exceptional service outcomes
n
Coach, mentor, and engage a team including junior and senior broking staff
n
Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, client retention, and team development
n
Work closely with national leadership to align with business goals
n
Participate in business development and contribute to branch strategy
n
Lead by example in client meetings, internal training, and process improvement
n
Contribute actively to branch and sales meetings and embrace continuous learning
n
About You You're currently a Senior Account Executive Account Manager with deep technical knowledge and a genuine interest in leadership. You may already be managing a small team or be ready to take that next step.n
n
Broad experience in commercial insurance broking, across mid-market clients
n
Strong understanding of diverse industry sectors and insurance solutions
n
Demonstrated capability in mentoring or team leadership (formal or informal)
n
Tier 1 qualified (essential), with excellent stakeholder and client skills




n
Commercially minded with a focus on growth and retention outcomes
n
Highly organised and proactive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
n
Able to commit to 3 days in-office per week as part of a hybrid working model
n
