Location: Ashley Youth Detention Centre, North, near Deloraine, Tasmania
n
Employment type: Fixed‐term, full‐time
n
Classification: Health and Human Services Tasmanian State Service Award – General Stream Band 6
n
Salary: $111,754 – $126,579 per annum
n
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Oversee the farm and fleet facilities at the Youth Detention Centre.
n
Coordinate work health and safety, emergency management, and security systems.
n
Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
n
Implement and maintain emergency response plans and security protocols.
n
Work with the Centre's management team to support safety culture.
n
n




Qualifications and experience:
n
n
Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) in an Employment status.
n
Proven experience in safety, security, or emergency management within a custodial or similar environment.
n
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and emergency procedures.
n
Effective communication and leadership skills.
n
n
